Roles we are looking for:

Art Studio Apprentice/Intern

Assist with day-to-day studio operations. Learning about how to run and create a performing arts organization with a focus on giant puppets, along with papier-mache, sewing, resculpting with reed, organizing studio supplies, cleaning, repairing broken puppets, and supplies. Supporting workshops, helping students, and with supplies. 4 hours a week. 1 day a week. In person.

Media Apprentice/Intern

Capturing content, making social media posts and stories, creating a TikTok account and posts, and being a voice for ArtJoy on social media, editing videos, making reels, filming content during workshops, 4 hours a week. Online with in-person filming and media.

Production Assistant

Supporting spotting, helping with getting in and out of costumes, supporting with hair and make-up, cleaning costumes, bringing gear to events, and delivering gear to the studio. Event by event hiring. In person.

Fabrication Assistant

Working on art that is available for selling, creating art, following instructions, fine art, usually with paper mache. In person. Hiring for individual projects.

Puppeteer

Types of puppetter varies, and the position depends on the individual event. Submit an application and include any experience you have in performing arts. If an opportunity arises, we will reach out. Event by event hiring. In person.

Preformers

Walk about characters, costumes, stilts, contortionists, aerial performers, fire dancers, hostesses, MC, bubble art performers, hoop performers, and any other type of performance artists. Event by event hiring. In person.
