Bioneers Case Study 2025: Transformational Team Building Through Art

Event Info:

At Bioneers, one of the nation’s leading conferences on social and environmental innovation, ArtJoy created an immersive, large-scale participatory installation that transformed strangers into collaborators, and collaborators into a creative community.

Through giant puppets, movement, music, and storytelling, participants were invited to step out of their usual roles and into a shared creative process. Employees, leaders, and attendees didn’t just watch a performance—they became part of it. They learned how to animate giant puppets together, how to communicate nonverbally, how to coordinate timing and movement, and how to trust one another in real time to bring something much larger than any one person to life.
